Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Hedgelytics. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Hedgelytics.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, accessing our APIs, or otherwise using the service, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.
2. Service description
Hedgelytics provides programmatic access to financial market data through a REST API and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. The service is offered on a subscription basis with a free tier and paid plans.
3. Account terms
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Authentication is passwordless — anyone in possession of an active magic link or session cookie is treated as the account holder. Notify us immediately at security@hedgelytics.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer rate limits or circumvent technical controls; (b) resell or sub-license the data feed without a written agreement; (c) use the service to violate applicable laws, including securities, anti-money-laundering, or sanctions regulations; (d) probe for vulnerabilities outside our responsible-disclosure program; (e) use the data to make trading decisions for which you are not appropriately licensed in your jurisdiction.
5. Subscription & billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via our payment processor. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.
6. API access & rate limits
Each plan tier carries documented rate limits and quotas. Exceeding limits results in HTTP 429 responses; sustained abuse may result in suspension. We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that endanger service stability for other users.
7. Data accuracy & investment-advice disclaimer
Financial data is provided on an "as is" basis. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors. Hedgelytics is NOT an investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner. Nothing on the service constitutes investment advice. You alone are responsible for trading decisions made using our data, and you assume all risks of any losses.
8. Intellectual property
The service, including all software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Tessellatic, Inc. and protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of code you write using our SDKs.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to access the service ends immediately. Sections 7, 8, 10, and 11 survive termination.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tessellatic, Inc.'s aggregate liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, trading losses, or business interruption.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to active account holders and posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
